The Greater Springfield website which was launched this month made use of many of our digital capabilities.
Strategy – Putting together a unique strategy for the Greater Springfield site was the first task. We worked closely with our client and their key stakeholders to ensure we created a strategy which would meet all of the outlined objectives.
Design – We designed the website from top to bottom. Our aim was to reflect the’outside the box’ nature of Springfield as an exciting and vibrant new city. We decided to put to good use the large screen background and a mega-nav – making navigation easier to use.
Development – we developed the website with a combination of Flash, animation, and our extremely customisable content management system, MeTTroMagic. The website required that we ensure it was search engine friendly we therefore used our hybrid technology to bridge the gap between Flash and html.
Social Media – A big push was made to engage Springfield and the broader community in the daily goings on of the new city. Social Media was used for this engagement and our site incorporated these elements. They were made editable by our client within the cms. The news system was also developed making use of RSS technology.
